UAB Juodeliai invests in expansion of production facility in Marijampolė

The wood processing company UAB Juodeliai plans to build a second facility next to the production facility of pallet blanks opened in 2021 in Marijampolė. The long-standing cooperating partner Šiaulių bankas allocated EUR 19 million for the expansion of the production facility of UAB Juodeliai in Marijampolė, the total value of the project amounting to EUR 30 million, while the rest will be covered with the company’s funds.

The production facility with an area of 7,000 sq m to be built on a territory of 20 ha will be equipped with an additional storage facility covering 10,000 sq m. The production facility, which is expected to start operating at the end of this year, should generate around 50 new workplaces.

The processing capacity of UAB Juodeliai is estimated at 1,3 million cubic metres of raw material per year. With the establishment of a second production facility in Marijampolė, it will be possible to broaden the variety of raw materials used and manufacture a more specialised range of products.
