New modern building opens in Paediatric Clinic of Kaunas Clinics

On the 1st of June, new modern building of Paediatric Clinic of the Hospital of Lithuanian University of Health Sciences Kaunas Clinics was opened. A beautiful opening ceremony of the new building crowned the completion of the three-year work. Guests of the ceremony could enjoy performances of famous singers and show of amusing clowns from the Republic of Georgia. The new building shelters all paediatric departments under one roof. On the ground floor of the new building consultation clinic was established; on the first and second floors patient rooms, procedural rooms, playrooms for children and doctors’ work rooms were set up. Here, 100 of paediatric patients could be treated. The third floor host rooms for research and studies, student auditoriums, meeting rooms and conference hall.

The cost of construction of the new building of Paediatric Clinic of Kaunas Clinics was 19.2 million Litas. The amount of 12.6 million Litas was assigned from the Lithuanian state investment projects budget. Remaining amount was contributed by the Hospital of Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, over 40 Lithuanian companies of various sizes, considerable part was donated during charitable events. We are happy to make at least some contribution to this noble cause.
