Representatives of UAB Juodeliai attend LIGNA HANNOVER 2013

The international trade fair for forestry and wood industries LIGNA HANNOVER 2013 took place on 6–10 May 2013. This traditional trade fair has confirmed once again that it is one of the world’s major and most popular events of this type.

LIGNA HANNOVER 2013 had over 90,000 visitors from over 100 countries. The number of visitors from North America increased by as much as 52 per cent to exceed 3,000, which is a LIGNA record. The number of visitors from Eastern Europe, in particular Russian entrepreneurs, also grew considerably. This year, the trade fair introduced novelties such as small-capacity forestry equipment and iPad-controlled furniture production systems. A total of 1,637 participants from 46 countries occupied the area of 124,000 sq m. According to one of the participants, this trade fair saves him several months of travel around the world since here, at the fair, he can meet his business partners from all over the world.

The heads of UAB Juodeliai Juozupas Zimnickas and Andrius Zimnickas and the company’s technical director attended this year’s fair as they also did two years ago. The trip and the visit to the trade fair are closely related to the new facilities being constructed in Radviliškis. The UAB Juodeliai representatives spent three days at the fair and met the company’s clients and subcontractors of the Radviliškis facility. One of the key meetings was with the manufacturers of the equipment to be provided in the new Radviliškis facility. Some new ideas learned during the trade fair will be implemented in the present production facilities of UAB Juodeliai.
