UAB Juodeliai has been awarded by the Lithuanian Labour Exchange “For the Creation of New Jobs in the Highest Unemployment Area”
On January 3, the wood processing company UAB Juodeliai received an award from the Lithuanian Labour Exchange for the nomination “For the Creation of New Jobs in the Highest Unemployment Area” where it took second place (in the category of large companies).
This year, (for the seventh year in a row) a thanksgiving event was organized for the employers that created the greatest number of new targeted jobs in 2014. For the first time, the awards’ ceremony took place in Kaunas – in the historic Presidential Palace of the Republic of Lithuania. The companies were awarded from four nominations. Large companies and small and medium-sized companies were ranked separately.
UAB Juodeliai underwent major changes last year (a new production unit was opened in Radviliškis), which has conditioned, among other things, the growth of the number of jobs. The company currently has 400 employees, almost 130 of which work in the newly opened production unit in Radviliškis.
UAB Juodeliai is an innovative company: during the previous year, having modernized the production and introduced the most current technologies, the company has significantly increased its production volume and expanded its production range. This factor was a major influence in the creation of new jobs. Last year, with the creation of 141 new jobs, employment in the company increased by 59%.
The award by the Lithuanian Labour Exchange “For the Creation of New Jobs in the Highest Unemployment Area” is an important appraisal for UAB Juodeliai. By applying new technologies, the company not only created new jobs, but also paid a great deal of attention to the improvement of the qualification and training of its employees.
