UAB Juodeliai Jure Production Unit Audit
On 13th August, 2015, an audit was carried out on the wood processing company UAB Juodeliai’s Jure Production Unit. An educational audit “IWAY must” was performed by IKEA Industry Lietuva, the Jure Production Unit’s biggest buyer of its manufacturing process by-products such as sawdust, wood chips and firewood. A representative from Sweden together with UAB IKEA Industry Lietuva’s Lithuanian representatives carried out the audit of the company.
Industrial safety and environmental aspects were not the only issues under investigation. Considerable attention was paid to such social factors like timely paid salaries. The auditors evaluated that UAB Juodeliai has been carrying out a transparent wage policy and the payment of taxes in accordance with the Republic of Lithuania’s law. What is more, they took notice of Juodeliai & Co charity and support fund founded in 2009.
The audit was confirmed without any significant remarks. The company is pleased about the good examples registered during the audit, while the expressed remarks have already been taken into consideration. UAB Juodeliai appreciates partners that push them to grow and improve.
