UAB Juodeliai actively participated in the run event “Run for Marijampolė”
For the past five years, the residents and visitors of Marijampolė have been honouring and celebrating the city with an increasing participation in the running event dedicated to proclaim the city of Marijampolė.
This year, more than 1,000 runners took part in the jubilee running event “Run for Marijampolė” which took place on the 27th of May. Traditionally, the participants could choose among three events: a half marathon of 21,098 km, or a distance of 10 km or 5 km. This year’s new novelty was Nordic walking – a cognitive hiking event.
In this special year, when we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the restoration of the state of Lithuania, Marijampole has been announced the cultural capital of Lithuania and thus special design medals had been created for the running event.
More than 40 employees of UAB Juodeliai and their family members crossed the finish line upon finishing various distances. This year, the little runners were really active (9 children of the Company’s employees participated in the race for children).
UAB Juodeliai, which has been participating in the running event since the very first year, was one of the most involved organizations as every year. Some of the employees participating in the run became the winners: second and third places were taken in the 5 km in different age groups. We invite you to view the photos and enjoy good emotions.
