Investors’ Forum Association recognised UAB Juodeliai as the investor of 2018

Investors’ Forum, the association uniting the most active and major investors into Lithuanian economy, for the eighth year in a row awards companies, national institutions and representatives of education and media who had greatly contributed to the improvement of an investment climate.

Nominations were available for traditional awards including investor of the year, responsible company, business environment solution of the year, civil servant of the year, business journalist of the year and economic teacher of the year.

The winners were announced on 12 April during a formal ceremony attended by business, politics, education and media leaders. Wood processing company UAB Juodeliai was recognised and awarded as the investor of 2018.

The company was presented as an inspiring example of a Lithuanian production company which, with the help of consistent investment, managed to become one of the most innovative and successful wood industry companies in Europe and which invests into and creates jobs in the major and other Lithuanian cities – a prerequisite for closing regional gap and promoting country-wide economy growth.

UAB Juodeliai earned the Investors’ Forum’s recognition for leadership and investments into production development, namely, for its determination to build a world-class packing elements plant. The total plant project investment shall add up to 40 million EUR. The new development is estimated to create around 100 workplaces. Upon the implementation of the investment project in 2020 UAB Juodeliai opts to become the second largest pallet elements manufacturer in Europe and to increase its turnover to over 110 million EUR.
