Management systems of UAB Juodeliai were successfully audited

On 26 August 2019, an external surveillance audit of quality, environmental, as well as occupational health and safety (OHS) management systems (according to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and OHSAS 18001:2007) was carried out at the wood processing company UAB Juodeliai. The surveillance audit was carried out by an international certification company Bureau Veritas. The auditors visited the company’s headquarters in Marijampolė as well as production units in Akmenynai, Kazlų Rūda, and Radviliškis.

The purpose of this audit was to assess the compliance of the management system with the requirements of audit standards, to evaluate how the management system enables consistent pursuing of policies and objectives set by the organization, to assess the scope of management systems, to ensure that the organization complies with the applicable laws, regulatory and contractual requirements, and to identify possible areas for improvement of the management system.

The audit team conducted a process-based audit focusing on significant aspects, risks, and objectives of the management system. The audit distinguished the following strengths of the company’s quality, environmental, occupational health and safety (OHS) management system: management’s approach, commitment to quality, environmental protection, occupational health and safety, explaining the understanding of the importance of customer needs to all employees, personnel competence, continuous improvement of the system, identification and compliance with the applicable regulatory requirements, as well as a trustworthy business name on the market. The audit established that the management system of UAB Juodeliai is essentially in compliance with the requirements of the abovementioned standard on auditing. The company demonstrated an adequate improvement and elaboration of its management system.
