This year, a bit later than usual, the wood processing company UAB Juodeliai held its annual event for the company’s administration staff. After the Director General presented the company’s annual report, the company employees participated in team-building exercises and were given a chance to test their stamina, patience, and ability to take an accurate shot on a golf course, to reveal their creativity during a photography class and practice exercise and enjoy excellent pictures as a result. The photographs they took are now displayed on the walls of the administration office in Marijampolė. UAB Juodeliai employees have once again proved that a team is a powerful force able to target any goals.
07/08/2020 / Audit of UAB Juodeliai management system recertification successfully completed
On the 22nd and 23rd of July 2020, the audit of the management system (according to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018) recertification was carried out at the wood processing company UAB Juodeliai. It aimed at evaluating the conformity of the integrated management system to the requirements of international quality, environmental and occupational safety and health (ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018) standards and identifying possible improvements of the management system.
During the audit, the team of the company Bureau Veritas Lit took all necessary procedural actions, focusing on significant aspects, risks and objectives of the management system. Auditors visited the company’s headquarters in Marijampolė, also production units located in Jūrė, Akmenynai and Radviliškis. The audit identified the following advantages of the company’s quality, environmental and occupational safety and health management system: management’s position; explaining to all employees the importance of understanding customer needs; staff competences and continuous improvement of the system.
The audit showed no discrepancies. Positive auditor evaluations have encouraged the company to seek further efficiency in its business processes. Following the audit, we are satisfied not only with the positive auditor evaluations, but also with useful comments that inspire UAB Juodeliai to develop even further and commit to higher standards.
07/07/2020 / UAB Juodeliai generated a record volume of produce
In the first half of 2020, the wood processing company UAB Juodeliai manufactured a record volume of main production – pallet blanks. Compared to the same period in 2019, its production increased by almost 6%: in 2019, it generated 130.004 m3 of produce, while during the same period in 2020, the volumes reached 137.883 m3. We are glad that in the first half of 2020, the production capacity of UAB Juodeliai increased despite the consequences of COVID-19, which became a challenge for many manufacturing companies.
01/07/2020 / Launch of the new UAB Juodeliai project www.miskovezis.lt underway
Starting from 1 July this year the wood processing company UAB Juodeliai has launched its new project www.miskovezis.lt. This is a completely new approach in the wood processing market where a website operation is based on the principle of auction.
UAB Juodeliai purchases round timber all over Lithuania and has a large volume of wood for transportation in each municipality. The www.miskovezis.lt website publishes information on round timber quantities available for transportation. Registered carriers and those with contracts can reserve the desirable quantity of wood simply by pressing a few buttons.
The aim of this website is to expand the network of active carriers and to save wood transportation costs. Wood carriers have the possibility to monitor and reserve the closest available round timber in real time. This website makes it possible to save on transportation costs, generate more earnings for carriers and, last but not least, protect the environment by avoiding empty voyages!
02/06/2020 / Dubai WoodShow 2020 postponed until September
The annual Dubai WoodShow 2020 that was due to be organized on 16–19 March 2020 is being postponed for the second time in a row and is scheduled to take place in autumn this year, on 7–9 September.
Dubai WoodShow is a famously large-scale exhibition that attracts over 240 companies from 45 countries around the world.
During this year’s exhibition the wood processing company UAB Juodeliai plans to present its new world’s fastest short packing elements production line to be commissioned this autumn. We are hoping that the exhibition takes place this year and we will have our chance to present our stand in Dubai.
