23/09/2015 / Successfully renewed certificate of UAB Juodeliai integrated management system
On September 10 and 11, 2015, an annual supervisory audit of integrated management system was performed at wood processing company UAB Juodeliai. The purpose of the audit was to evaluate the integrated management system’s compliance with international standards of quality, environmental protection and safety and health of workers at work (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001) and to explore the possibilities and best practices of the company’s process improvement.
The supervisory audit was performed by an acknowledged international certification company Bureau Veritas, a long-time partner of UAB Juodeliai. The audit took place in Marijampolė office as well as Radviliškis and Akmenynai production facilities. This year, the auditors especially focused on the newest production facility of UAB Juodeliai in Radviliškis, as this facility played a crucial part in the company’s growth and development; at the same time, it introduced new challenges and a higher demand for integration and process management of every system, which is necessary in order to reach the goals of quality, environmental protection, work safety, and health.
During the audit, no violations were found in the facilities of UAB Juodeliai. The auditors especially appraised the continuous effort to improve the integrated management system and the employees’ competence as well as UAB Juodeliai authorities’ dedication to goal achievement process and its supervision.
We are very pleased with the positive feedback and recommendations of the auditors and we will continue to take the appropriate measures to ensure the company’s compliance with every requirement of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001. Also, we will try to meet the customers’ highest demands regarding the quality of the produce and to emerge as a reliable business and social partner as well as a leader in innovations that focuses on sustainable and environmentally-friendly business.
28/05/2015 / Clear wave certificate awarded to UAB Juodeliai during the traditional transparency campaign
On 18 May this year an all – encompassing and traditional campaign ‘No place for shadows in this country’ was held. The campaign is aimed at developing a responsible, active civil society and invites residents to actively contribute to the reduction of the shadow economy. The campaign is organised by ‘Clear wave’, the initiative of transparent and responsible business labelling, which wood processing company UAB Juodeliai joined on 17 February 2015.
During the campaign, representatives of business and state institutions, and associations came to the press conference where they shared their insights about the shadow economy, and discussed the potential means to reduce the extent of shadows in the country. During the press conference, the Baltoji Banga certificate was solemnly awarded to UAB Juodeliai.
Any company using the Clear wave sign undertakes to engage in transparent wage policies, transparently participate in tendering procedures (public procurements) and pay all taxes according to the legislation of the Republic of Lithuania.
