11/05/2015 /  UAB Juodeliai delivers its products to Europe not only by land, but also by sea

With the growing capacity of UAB Juodeliai wood processing company, the volume of its products is increasing, the number of customers is growing and the production sales market is expanding. It is important for the company to find an alternative to land transport, which is currently used for the transportation of the majority of production. As of April this year, UAB Juodeliai began to deliver its products by sea – in containers and fully loaded ships.

This process might be well familiar for other companies, but it was a new experience for UAB Juodeliai, forced to look for new solutions outside the usual manufacturing process. In April, the ship carried more than 2,500 m3 of wood representing about 13 percent of monthly production capacity of the company. The company has changed packaging specifications and invested in additional fastening materials so that products can reach the destination in stable packages. There is still room for improvement, but the company already provides further steps for correcting some errors. We hope that this process becomes permanent.

UAB Juodeliai appreciates that its clients and partners are willing to cooperate in organizing the delivery of production, searching for alternatives and seeking mutual benefits.

29/07/2014 /  First Train Wagons in UAB ‘Juodeliai’ Workshop in Radviliškis

Radviliškis manufacturing department of UAB ‘Juodeliai’ wood processing company stands out not only due to its computerized wood processing infrastructure and specialized equipment that allows the preparation of wood products of exceptionally high quality but also due to its convenient geographic location. The nearby railroad was one of the reasons why this particular region was chosen for the expansion of the company.

UAB ‘Juodeliai’ started commercial production in the Radviliškis workshop on 1 May 2014, increased its production volumes, and is waiting for the first train wagons with wood material to arrive in the coming days. UAB ‘Juodeliai’ has its own railroad branch line for loading and unloading cargo in the company’s site.

30/06/2014 /  Wood processing company UAB Juodeliai opens sawn timber processing facilities in Radviliškis, the most modern facilities of this type in the Baltic States

To increase export volumes and expand the selection of products, UAB Juodeliai, one of the largest wood processing companies in the Baltic States, implemented the project “The Radviliškis wood processing facilities of UAB Juodeliai” (VP2-2.1-ŪM-06-K-01-004) (project start date: July 2012) in the framework of the Invest LT-2 measure of Priority Axis 2 “Increasing efficiency of enterprises and promoting a supportive business environment” of the Operational Programme for Economic Growth for 2007–2013.

The main purpose of the project was to launch the most modern wood processing facilities in the Baltic region and Poland. The facilities are designed to produce high quality wood products using an innovative and fully computerised production technology so that the company can expand the selection of products and obtain considerable quantities of biofuel in the course of the production process.

The total value of the project exceeded LTL 42 million, of which LTL 4 million was obtained in the framework of the EU-funded Invest LT-2.
Andrius Zimnickas, Director General of UAB Juodeliai, is delighted that the company successfully completed its ambitious goal in June 2014: to open in Radviliškis the most modern wood processing facilities in the Baltic States and Poland. The facilities occupy an area of nearly 8 hectares. The production process is fully automated: the sawing process is controlled by computer systems that guarantee the high precision of the dimensions of wooden pallets and the flawless quality of wooden products. To date, 95 new jobs have been provided at the new facilities. The inauguration of the facilities will enable the company to expand the scope of production even further, react to market changes more promptly, offer shorter deadlines for completing customer orders, improve and implement advanced wood processing processes, and expand to new foreign markets, e.g. the UAE and China.

We are delighted to be able to contribute to the increase in the economic value of both the Suvalkija and Aukštaitija regions. We would like to express our gratitude to AB Šiaulių Bankas and Radviliškis District Government for their collaboration in implementing the project.

23/05/2014 /  UAB Juodeliai company representatives attended the international trade show in China

UAB Juodeliai, wood processing company, representatives are back from the 3rd Guangzhou International Wood & Wood Products Trade Show, held on 12–14 May 2014 in Guangzhou, China.

Increasing imports of wood to China have had a strong positive impact on the number of participants at the trade show. This year, representatives of 15 countries such as the USA, Canada, Germany, Italy, Russia, Slovenia, Ukraine, Latvia, the UK, Greece, Brazil, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong and, of course, Lithuania took part in the event. Over a dozen companies attended the trade show in order to visit the stand of UAB Juodeliai and discuss opportunities for cooperation.

There were 47 company stands at the trade show. Representatives of companies exchanged opinions, shared their experiences and forged new contacts with potential partners. The representatives of UAB Juodeliai also set up new contacts to undertake joint business operations in the foreseeable future.

In addition, the representatives of UAB Juodeliai visited some of the company’s current clients and attended the Industry Forum with Wood Guangzhou 2014. The opportunities of UAB Juodeliai (and in particular of the new Radviliškis production facilities that are provided with the most modern computer-aided wood processing lines in the Baltic States and Poland) to produce items of non-standard dimensions and expand the selection of products were presented during the forum.

This trade show was another successful step for UAB Juodeliai in the international expansion, especially with regard to sales in Eastern markets.

10/02/2014 /  We are featured in the press!

It’s good when your company is mentioned in the press. This month, the newspaper Radviliškio Naujienos published an article entitled “The railway capital becomes a wood processing centre” about the establishment and operations in the industrial park of the Radviliškis facilities of UAB Juodeliai. We are mentioned as one of the largest manufacturers of wooden pallets in the Baltic States, although we are actually one of the largest manufacturers of pallet wood. Nevertheless, we are delighted to have become one of the main investors in Radviliškis District and will create nearly 100 new jobs here. We have invested a lot, and our investments are considerably beyond the LTL 28 million mentioned in the article. Our total investments amount to LTL 42 million.

Our company will celebrate its 20th anniversary this year and will continue expanding its production and modernising. It is a perfect moment for changing, renewing, looking for new opportunities, and generating new ideas. We are proud to be pioneers in the implementation of new, computerised wood-processing lines in the Baltic States and Poland.

We are happy to contribute to the increase in the economic value of the regions of both Suvalkija and Aukštaitija. We hope to continue the smooth and mutually beneficial collaboration and communication with the local authorities, competitors, entrepreneurs, and the populace.
